Creating a modern addition to a historical building can be a tough task, especially if you are trying to ensure some kind of continuity between the structures. This was the case when Bridgehampton, NY decided to virtually double the space of their historical library, constructed in the 1870s. The addition took a modern spin, with one wall primarily made of large windows, however, the wooden trusses that grace the high ceiling help connect the building’s past to its present.
