Timber Frame Finishing Samples

Factory pre-staining saves you time and money

Our experienced crew knows how much stain is necessary for your project. (Eliminating trips to the paint store and mis-matched tints) and your stain is applied indoors in a temperature-controlled environment. (So you don’t need to worry about the weather)

Surface texture and stain options

Timber texture

Most of the frames are planed smooth, but we also offer, wire brushed, rough sawn texture, or hand hewn.

Timber finish

We offer a coat of oil or stain on your frame or it can be unstained and finished on site. You can see sample colors and textures below.

Tongue & Groove ceiling boards

T&G ceiling boards are available in the following finish combinations:

  • Raw / unstained for onsite finish
  • Stain only
  • Clear sealer (1 or 2 coats)
  • Primer for painting on site
  • Combination of stain and clear sealer(s)

These are examples of popular T&G colors (Left to right #1-4): 

  1. Sherwin Williams® Wood Classic clear in satin finish – (2) coats
  2. Zar® Coastal Boards (White wash) – (1) coat
  3. Zar® Poly (clear) –  (1) coat
  4. Mikes Custom Stain (1) coat conditioner + (1) coat Satin finish

Siding & Trim

For wood siding and trim or composite trim we offer primer, stains and various opacity and can be 1 or more coats pre-stained.

Siding and trim colors finishes include:

  • Stain (wood only) allows wood grain to be visible
  • Solid stain covers the wood grain more durable finish (looks like flat paint)
  • Primer for adding top coat on site

Can be left raw to weather naturally or are available pre-stained.
